Programs for Sexual Health and Addiction

Training:  I have been trained as a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist: Candidate by Dr. Patrick Carnes and the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.  You can access my name on their website at IITAP.com.

Assessment:  I offer a thorough assessment process that helps determine the extent of a client’s needs and the best course of treatment.  When necessary, psychological testing and psychiatric evaluati0n are offered.  I strive to clarify the best options for my clients.

Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity Program:  When assessment and data indicate a deep pattern of complusivity and/or addiction I will offer the client a structured pathway toward sobriety and a life free of complusion and shame.

Spouses/Partners Program:  Spouses and partners of sex addicts are burdened with feelings of anger, shame, confusion and isolation as a result of the betrayal of trust.  I offer specific strategies for recovery that can lead to increased self esteem and confidence.

Marital and Couples Therapy:  I have been trained in Emotionally Focused Marital Therapy which I describe elsewhere on this website.  Specifically I have been trained to address the conflict resulting from disclosure of sexual secrets and the wound to attachment resulting from such betrayal.  Couples can recover and find the love and attachment they need to have healthy intimacy.

Trauma Resolution Therapy:  Physical, emotional and sexual trauma often underlie addiction and intimacy problems.  I offer specific treatment options that can address the problems associated with such trauma.
