Marriage Counseling

As a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy I have seen couples for marriage counseling for 25 years.  In the last few years I have become aware of a powerful tool for marriage counseling called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

EFT is one of the only methods I have found that helps couples connect with their deepest needs for a secure, lasting and satisfying relationship.  EFT helps couples to strengthen their attachment bonds.  Having strong attachment bonds means the couple can feel safe together, knowing that they can count on one another in times of need and that they can face conflict with communication and problem solving.

EFT research has been published in many professional journals demonstrating it’s effectiveness.  The founders of EFT, Dr. Susan Johnson and Dr. Les Greenberg, developed a method of marriage counseling that has been found to be effective with over 90% of couples describing their relationship as “significantly improved”.

If you’d like to increase your closeness, improve your communication, stop fighting over the same issues again and again and improve your feelings of enjoying one another’s company then EFT can help.
